Source Code Management
As user you are legally owner of a customized application - the source code is your intellectual property. For maintenance, updates and further functionality you continue to use the services of the software developer having signed a maintenance agreement or Service Level Agreement. In other words: as owner you are dependent on the developer and your operational IT risks should be secured: escrow.
Though from a strictly legal point of view there is not really an escrow arrangement we can still assist you with securing your risks through our standard escrow processes - an up-to-date and verified copy of our intellectual property for those situations when developer is no longer available!
Where release of the deposit is concerend - with an escrow arrangement the deposit can only be released when a specific circumstance occurs - with a source code management agreement the deposit is released whenever you want. If necessary and possible the same day - the material is owned by you and Escrow4all after all merely verifies, keeps up-to-date and stores the material.
- Secure your investment in (customized) software
- Always have available a verified, up-to-date version
- Your intellectual property available whenever, however
