Jeu de Boules & Dining by the Water

Keeping all the balls in the air? Our colleagues have that down. Throwing them straight? That’s a different sport entirely. Last Friday marked Escrow4all’s summer outing. This time: jeu de boules (petanque) at Mooie Boules, followed by dinner at Waterkant.

We played indoors at Mooie Boules, which turned out to be a lifesaver with temperatures outside pushing 32 (90°F) degrees. From sharp tactics to some surprisingly precise shots, the competition heated up fast. The vibe stayed easygoing the whole time, though. By the end of the afternoon, the winning team headed home with a well-earned trophy, but not before we all sat down for a great dinner at Waterkant in Amsterdam.

After an afternoon of competition, it was the perfect way to wind down: gezelligheid (good company), good food, and the sun setting slowly over the IJ.
