Escrow4All joins DSR Magazine to discuss digital sovereignty

Herman Kui, Founder and Director of Escrow4All, was recently one of the participants in DSR Magazine’s roundtable discussions on digital sovereignty and resilience. Together with experts from Eurofiber, Proact, SUSE, and GovTech Lab, among others, he discussed how Europe and the Netherlands can strengthen their digital autonomy in practice.

What was the roundtable about?

The central question was how deeply digital dependencies are now interwoven into daily processes, public services, and vital infrastructure. The debate shifted emphatically from abstract policy discussions to concrete choices: what measures are organizations taking today to be less vulnerable tomorrow?

From his role at Escrow4All, Herman Kui focused on continuity and control. Specifically, on what happens when crucial software, data, or source code falls outside one’s own sphere of influence, and how organizations can structurally mitigate that risk.
